Waikōwhai Intermediate School

Camp is undoubtedly one of the highlights of many of our year 7 students.  Typically occurring in the middle of Term 4, it's the perfect chance for the students to put their 'self managing' skills to the test, and of course have heaps of fun!

For the last 10 or so years, we have been attending Finlay Park Adventure Camp in Lake Karapiro (about 2.5 hours south of Auckland, near Cambridge).  This year will be no different!

Some of the activities include:

• Confidence course

• Water slide

• Rafting

• Animal Survival

• Rock climbing

• Glow Worms night excursion

And, of the 3 nights away, 1 is spent at out camp where the students sleep in bivouacs and get to experience more of a 'true camping experience'.
