WaiFest could be considered a relatively new fundraising venture for Waikowhai Intermediate, having only become a regular part of our yearly activities about 5 years ago.  After a few name changes, 'WaiFest' stuck, and it is now an important part of each school year.

With food stalls boasting international flavours (or just pure local deliciousness!), silent auctions, raffle draws, and cultural performances that amaze a standing-room-only crowd, WaiFest is an evening not to be missed.

In 2016, not even the torrential downpour could dampen our spirits. As Plan B moved swiftly into action, our classrooms were transformed into mini eateries, and take-away windows.  In fact, this setup was such a success, we've continued to do the same thing - expecting Auckland weather has become our Plan A!

WaiFest 2018 and 2019 were no exception to the success of previous years; the beautiful day brought a terrific crowd, the cultural performances were incredible, and the wide-variety of food stalls left no one hungry.  Thank you to everyone who came to support us!
