Students at Waikōwhai Intermediate have the opportunity to enrich their musical talents through a variety of avenues, including rock & jazz bands.

Every year, Waikōwhai holds auditions to find talented musicians to be part of our Rock band legacy.  Our Rock bands rehearse and perform at school under the watchful eye of our talented band tutor.  For the past several years, we have entered the 'Smokefree Bandquest' competition. Past awards include Best Intermediate Band, Best Female Vocalist, Best Drummer, Bass Guitarist and Best Keyboard Player.  It is a wonderful opportunity for our musical students. 

Waikōwhai also hosts 'MusiqHub', which offers lessons for the following instruments:
