Waikowhai Intermediate is well served by several bus services:


1. Metrolink (as at 8 July 2018)

   27W & 27H – Three Kings Loop

   680 – Onehunga to New Lynn via Blockhouse Bay

   25L – Dominion Rd to Lynfield

   511 – School bus servicing Lynfield area

   568 – School bus servicing to Onehunga

School Uniform

Waikowhai Intermediate School requires students to wear the required regulation uniform in school at all times. This gives a sense of belonging.  It allows all children to be equally well dressed.

SUMMER UNIFORM - Terms 1 & 4

A plain navy bucket hat is compulsory for all students and is available from the Uniform Shop.

 

GIRLS

Footwear: Plain black sandals (all black including labels and soles) or plain black shoes (all black including labels and soles) with plain white ankle socks.

Dress: Navy culottes, blue polo shirt with school monogram, red polar fleece top with school monogram.

 

BOYS

Footwear: Plain black sandals (all black including labels and soles) or plain black shoes (all black including labels and soles) with regulation knee high socks or short socks.

Dress: Navy shorts, blue polo shirt with school monogram, red polar fleece top with school monogram.

 

 

WINTER UNIFORM - Terms 2 & 3

GIRLS

Footwear: Plain black shoes (all black including labels and soles)with plain white ankle socks.

Dress: Navy culottes or long pants, blue polo shirt with school monogram, red polar fleece top with school monogram.

Optional: School jacket, skin coloured/navy/black pantyhose under clothes and socks.

 

BOYS

Footwear: Plain black shoes (all black including labels and soles) with regulation knee high socks or short socks.

Dress: Navy shorts or long pants, blue polo shirt with school monogram, red polar fleece top with school monogram.

Optional:  School jacket

 

PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS – ALL STUDENTS

 

- school fitness uniform (school t-shirt and shorts)

- sport shoes with white socks must be worn for general fitness and sport

 

EXTRAS

Earrings: Small, gold or silver round studs – no other piercings.

Hair Ties: Black, navy blue or white. All hair past shoulder length must be tied up.

Scarves / gloves: Navy blue or black.

There is to be NO makeup, and children's hair is to be their natural colour

UNIFORM SHOP

-  The School Uniform Shop hours are 8.15am - 9.00am Monday and Thursday only in the school hall (except for the last week of each term, as closed for stock taking).
