International Students

Waikōwhai Intermediate accepts International Students from all around the world. We are a signatory to the International Code of Practice (2016) and offer a wealth of resources and opportunities for all students, as can be seen on this website. Students will be integrated into classrooms, with a buddy to ensure an easy transition into our school. 

We are able to accept short term international students from families in our area who have a family member coming to stay who is Intermediate School age, 11-13 years old.

We also accept small groups from International Agents that we have built up a trusting relationship with.

Long term International Students are welcome too and you are welcome to make an appointment with the principal, David King, to discuss this further. A tour of the school is also possible, please email the dking@wai-int.school.nz to arrange a time for a tour.
